This sand-finished stoneware plate is constructed from a coil and slab, then covered with a smoky glaze that gives it a subtle texture. Clara Valdes, a young product designer and graduate of HEAR, lives and works in Alsace, where she explores the traces of the maker’s touch and variations in material.
