Our collections

sessùn style

A never-ending quest for new inspirations, a passion for beautiful fabrics, the subtle harmony of silhouettes playing with contrasts… Sessùn creates unique, timeless and distinctive women’s fashion, full of details and refinement. Freely pairing volumes with materials, reinventing the classics and the codes of masculine/feminine, combining vintage with contemporary, we write the story of a liberated and inspired woman, with a creative, sensitive and open mind...

A love of the classics, authentic workwear, artisanal methods, a tomboy attitude and revisited femininity are the hallmarks informing the way we create our collections, ever inspired by combinations of different materials and vibrant color palettes.

our collections

We design our collections in two stages, with a small "pre-collection" of mid-season pieces which the main collection completes, creating a dialogue between Pre-fall - Fall/Winter and Early spring - Spring/Summer.

We also develop a "holiday" collection to accompany the end of the year and offer pieces, in keeping with the Sessùn style, but in a subtly dressier version.

Outside the calendar, we regularly enrich our line dedicated to weddings, Sessùn Oui, with simple, delicate and elegant creations to celebrate romance and love at all times.

recollection

Brought out in 2020, Recollection is a line based on recycling, solidarity and know-how. It is a desire to create anew from what would otherwise be ‘lost’, the ambition to go a step further and give a (new) lease of life to things of beauty that have fallen out of favour.

Through this collection, we want to explore the multiple ways of creating from textiles seemingly at the end of their useful lives, help reduce waste and preserve resources while supporting laudable social, environmental and human initiatives.

Knitwear, denim… Each and every piece collected in our stores is sorted by color before being sent to our partner for upcycling. We make it a point of honor to carry out all production in France, to highlight the commitment of our partners and limit the environmental footprint of the operation.

fabrics

Materials are part of our history, our DNA. They are often what give birth to an idea, a model, a story. They tell the story of our know-how, our love of the garment... and its durability. That's why we choose them with the utmost care, while constantly questioning the impact of our choices. Several years ago, we decided to fully commit to transitioning to more responsible, less polluting fibers, produced under conditions that are more environmentally friendly and respectful towards people. We refer to them as lower impact materials. In 2023, we achieved 42% of lower impact materials in our collections.

All the figures in this section relate to our Summer 2024 collection.

natural material

In all our collections, wherever we can we opt for natural materials, like cotton, linen and wool, chosen for their longevity and other qualities, but also because they are renewable resources.

artificial materials

Synthetic materials, like viscose, Lyocell and Tencel are produced from processed natural resources. Often composed of wood pulp, they can acquire certain labels to guarantee their traceability and the sustainable management of the forests they come from, like EcoVero viscose. We prefer those with the lowest environmental impact.

synthetic materials

We keep the percentage of synthetic materials like polyester, acrylic and nylon in our collections to the lowest levels possible. Wherever we can, we use recycled/certified alternatives, like Repreve, a fibre made with post-consumer plastic bottles, transformed into recycled polyester thread.

certification
reach

The REACH legislation guarantees that products sold within the European Union do not contain controversial chemical substances. The list of these substances is extended from year to year, based on the latest studies. Each of our suppliers is committed to meeting these standards, and we regularly carry out tests to verify compliance..

OEKO-TEX®

For several years now, more and more of our products are certified in accordance with Standard 100 by OEKO-TEX®. Based on a voluntary process, this certification sets higher requirements than REACH legislation and covers a longer list of monitored or banned products. It guarantees that the items tested are harmless and free from toxic residues. As of today, 47% of our permanent finishes are Oeko-Tex certified.

leathers and tanning

To protect the craftsmen who work the material, as well as those who wear it, we opt as far as possible for vegetable tanning. This process excludes chemical or toxic additives, and replaces them with tannins extracted from plants. This is how 32% of our leather goods (belts and bags) are treated.

However, as this technique does not guarantee 100% material safety, good working conditions and environmental management, we have joined the Leather Working Group to work as much as possible with certified tanneries. These currently account for 73% of our supplies.
