What is the point of protesting against consumer society and its resulting pollution, if we continue to support the industries that poison us and deplete our planet's natural resources? Let's not use up what little oxygen we have left just shouting about it. Instead, let's learn a new of living without the products from these industries and let us find a new scale of values by getting back in touch with nature. Of course, it will be difficult for us to do without manufactured goods, as we have picked up too many nasty habits over the generations. But let's imagine industrial production that would be limited to the essentials. It's not easy to figure out what these are since we have lost the notion of what actually constitutes the essentials! But let's put our knowledge on hold and think about how we use them. Let us reconsider the most basic elements of our existence.
