A unique, hand-shaped piece created exclusively for Sessùn.

Based in the Drôme Provençale, Sonia Déléani creates functional pieces that explore the sensitive relationship between gesture, form and material. With a background in design, she shapes each piece by hand, using pinching, stamping, slab building and coiling techniques before revealing the texture of the grogged clay through careful polishing.
Her high-fired stoneware, finished with slips and glazes made from her own recipes using ash and natural oxides, carries the imprint of time, the seasons and the making process.
