The Modern Architecture of Cadaqués
Published by Nacho Alegre, with an introduction by Oscar Tusquets.
Inspired by the precocious style of Le Corbusier and the ideas on Mediterranean architecture championed by leading figures such as Bernard Rudofsky and Josep Lluís Sert, a young generation of architects found the perfect conditions for exploring the future of the Mediterranean house in Cadaqués, a small fishing village situated on the Costa Brava in Spain. The location served as the home and summer meeting place of some of the greatest artists of the last century, including Dalí, Picasso, Miró and Duchamp.
